  • Are You a Degenerate Generation or a Regenerate Generation? (Matthew 11:16-30)

    March 30, 2014

Series: Matthew: The Book of Kingship

Are You a Degenerate Generation or a Regenerate Generation? (Matthew 11:16-30)

    Speaker: Jaebum Heo

    Book: Matthew

Jesus laments the unresponsive, critical generation that rejected both John and Himself, despite clear evidence and miracles. He warns unrepentant cities of greater judgment than ancient wicked ones. Yet, He offers rest to the weary, calling all to come, take His yoke, and learn from Him. True peace, understanding, and salvation come through humble faith in Christ alone.

  • Jesus Christ, John the Baptist and I (Matthew 11:1-15)

    March 16, 2014

Series: Matthew: The Book of Kingship

Jesus Christ, John the Baptist and I (Matthew 11:1-15)

    Speaker: Jaebum Heo

    Book: Matthew

John the Baptist, though the greatest born of women, still questioned Jesus from prison. Jesus affirmed his identity through miraculous works, not mere words. John was a faithful prophet but never saw the cross. Those who believe, preach, and live the gospel today can be greater in God’s kingdom. The kingdom advances through faith, boldness, and gospel proclamation.

  • Discipleship is a Blessing to Others (Matthew 10:32-42)

    February 16, 2014

Series: Matthew: The Book of Kingship

Discipleship is a Blessing to Others (Matthew 10:32-42)

    Speaker: Jaebum Heo

    Book: Matthew

Jesus calls his followers to radical loyalty—even above family—warning that true discipleship brings division, suffering, and the cross. But those who boldly acknowledge Christ will be honored by him before the Father. The path of sacrifice leads to true life. Every act of faithfulness, even giving a cup of water, matters and will be eternally rewarded.

  • Fear Not! Because… (Matthew 10:17-33)

    February 2, 2014

Series: Matthew: The Book of Kingship

    Fear Not! Because… (Matthew 10:17-33)

    Speaker: Jaebum Heo

    Book: Matthew

Jesus warns that persecution is inevitable for his followers, even from family and authorities. Yet, he commands us not to fear. The Holy Spirit will speak through us, God deeply cares for us—even numbering our hairs—and true judgment belongs to God alone. We are to boldly proclaim Christ, knowing our eternal security rests in him, not human approval.

  • Missionary Chapter: Be as Shrewd as Snakes and as Innocent as Doves (Matthew 10:9-16)

    January 19, 2014

Series: Matthew: The Book of Kingship

Missionary Chapter: Be as Shrewd as Snakes and as Innocent as Doves (Matthew 10:9-16)

    Speaker: Jaebum Heo

    Book: Matthew

Jesus sends his disciples out with urgency, simplicity, and full dependence on God. Missionaries must live lightly, trust deeply, bless generously, and preach boldly—regardless of response. We are called to be both shrewd and innocent, navigating a hostile world with wisdom and grace. The message is urgent: rejecters face judgment, but faithful messengers must press on.

    Matthew 10:9-16
